Originally from Durban, South Africa, I have lived in the United States since 1987, and have been a resident of San Diego since 1992. I have been fortunate to be part of the Del Mar Union School District in various capacities since 2002. I currently have the enviable position of heading up the Harry Ebeling Library/Media Center at our wonderful Del Mar Heights Elementary. I love to travel, both physically and through reading. To me the most fulfilling aspect of my position is to have a child return to the library with a gleam in their eye telling me that they loved the book, series, author, poem and where and when can they get their hands on something similar. To find the perfect book for each and every child is a goal I take very seriously.

 

In addition, I coordinate many hands-on activities to ignite curiousity in our students. They have opportunities to design, build, and create an ongoing variety of projects using engineering skills.
